SUMMARY - Registered Nurse (RN):
BMC is currently seeking experienced and new grad, RN’s in the following clinic areas and campuses:
Foothills campus in Boulder - 4745 Arapahoe Ave: Pediatrics (PT)
Main campus in Boulder - 2750 Broadway: Rheumatology (FT), and Float Pool (FT).
Supports the provider in a variety of patient care duties and performs related clerical duties in accordance with the area assigned
Rooms patients, collects vitals and records all medical information in the patient’s EMR
Prepares exam rooms for provider’s use, collects specimens, administers and documents all prescribed, OTC medication and drug samples per protocols
Performs routine and special nursing procedures per the provider’s order.
Teaches nursing procedures to patients and their families regarding specific out-patient medical care as needed
Maintains equipment and medical supplies
Performs administrative/clerical duties such as filing, phone calls, and faxing
Skills and Abilities:
Must have a broad knowledge base of general nursing practice as well as knowledge of acute practice based on needs of specialty area.
Must be able to recognize and identify patient’s symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment within scope of practice
Strong computer skills w/ability to record information accurately and timely
Good time management and history-taking skills
Good communication skills w/ability to relate well with patients, providers and staff
Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities
Graduate of accredited nursing program. Current RN licensure by the State of Colorado.
1-2 years’ nursing experience.in a medical office, clinic or hospital.
