The Quality Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and directing hospice compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, clinical education, pre-authorization, and document control activities. The Quality Coordinator will develop annual goals based on the annual strategic plan; coordinating quality and compliance work within the department, as well as with other hospital and system departments. The QC will ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures and maintain content knowledge of hospice legal and regulatory requirements. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations and agency guidance governing hospice programs and services, including accreditation standards and ICD-10 Coding
General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
May be scheduled as needed including overtime
4 year / Bachelor's Degree in nursing (Required)
6 - 7 years Nursing with a minimum of 1 year of focus on compliance, performance and/or quality improvement(Required)
4 - 5 years Clinical experience demonstrating knowledge of hospice care processes(Required)
1 - 2 years Project management or quality improvement experience(Required)
