The Financial Resources Nurse is a Registered Nurse whose responsibilities include: Assessment and identification of hospital and department needs with respects to coordination between case management and business/finance departments; development of a plan of action that includes coordination of cost effective, quality services, process improvement and overall savings. The Financial Resources Nurse coordinates the appeals process and works with the business office in recovering revenue that would otherwise be withheld. The FRN works closely with the business office to identify opportunities for process improvement in the overall revenue cycle.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Minimum five years' experience
· Nurses with experience in acute hospital setting with supervisory and management experience preferred. Utilization Review experience preferred. Experience preferred with insurance and managed care.
