The RN Program Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the Clinical Program. The RN Program Manager has responsibility for monitoring, evaluating and coordinating care of trauma patients in conjunction with the Medical Director. The RN Program Manager plans, monitors and evaluates PI activities, quality and appropriateness of care, cost containment, patient safety and risk reduction issues, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, educations associates related to performance improvement, patient safety, and other key areas. The RN Program Manager is accountable to the Director of Nurses. The position requires knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and practice; clinical program systems; principles of teaching and learning; research and quality improvement. Effective interpersonal relationships are essential to all activities. Knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and support of the philosophy objectives and policies of CHRISTUS Saint Michael Health System are essential. The RN Program Manager demonstrates excellence in practice through full role functions: practitioner, educator, consultant, leader and researcher.
High school diploma or equivalent.
BSN required, MSN preferred
Prefer clinical practice in an acute care environment and a minimum of 2 years experience preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Maintain current BLS and state licensure and provide the organization with verification of same.
Maintain certifications required of clinical program accrediting body
