The Nurse Quality Improvement Specialist serves as the primary staff member to perform routine audits of the Inpatient Heart Center indicators. The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for rounding of staff and patients and routine audits that include documentation and observation. The Quality Improvement Specialist will assist with competency completion for identified areas of focus, recommend actions for improvement, provide information related to audits and facilitate education of staff.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
License to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
Current BLS certification is required
PALS certification is required within the first 2 years of employment
