Providence is calling a full time, evening shift Central Supply Sterile Technician to Providence Saint John's Health Center Santa Monica, CA.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for the processing of including but not limited to reusable medical supplies and instrumentation which includes decontamination, assembly, terminal sterilization and sterile storage as well as delivery to end users.
Comply with established safety, infection control and sterilization standards and protocols.
Follow departmental and quality assurance standards regarding labeling, record keeping, and chemical or biological indicator monitoring.
Work closely with the department's coordinators.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of approved SD/Central Service Course or Surgical Technology course
Proficient in P.C. software applications including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBoat, Outlook, etc
Ability to handle multiple tasks and appropriately prioritize
Knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization methodology and infection control practices
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year instrumentation/sterilization experience in an acute hospital
