SummitRidge Hospital provides quality behavioral health and addiction treatment services in Lawrenceville, GA, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Registered Nurses provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing with recent behavioral health experience. Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates patient care activities within designated services, adhering to the Hospital's mission, vision, philosophies, goals, and management principles, with understanding and knowledge of current legal implications. Works with department managers of other areas to assure the appropriate and smooth integrations of shared functions in the provision of patient services.
The Director of Nursing, SummitRidge, is responsible, either personally or through delegation, for:
Integrating SummitRidge Nursing Department into the SummitRidge Hospital's primary functional areas.
Interpreting and enforcing the mission, vision, philosophy, and objectives of SummitRidge Hospital.
Coordinating and integrating services both inside and outside SummitRidge.
Identifying budgetary needs with supervisors for designated areas.
Participating with other managers in the preparation of a budget, which allows for adequate personnel, supplies, equipment, and physical facilities for the provision of patient care.
Participating on assigned hospital and/or departmental committees and assuming leadership roles as indicated.
Serving as an administrative resource person giving assistance with patient care problems and personal management concerns.
Having 24-hour responsibility for the management of patient care areas at SummitRidge.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures that guide, support, and develop SummitRidge Nursing Department.
Utilizing management skills in problem identification and resolution related to nursing standards, staff performance, and implementation of the nursing process.
