Registered Nurse – Trauma Program Quality Coordinator
Valley Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse – Trauma Program Quality Coordinator to assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Hospital's overall quality and patient safety program.
Support the organization's performance improvement process
Provide stewardship for the medical staff, nursing and other clinical professional peer review processes
Identify performance trends as well as prioritize and recommend improvements
Investigate specific areas of concern as identified by leadership
Provide consultation and assistance to medical, administrative, and other staff on peer review, performance improvement and other quality of care issues
Translate data into actionable information and participate with the customer experience process for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care and services provided to patients and families
Play a role in the identification of trends, formulate conclusions, and make recommendations for improvement
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality is preferred
Minimum 5 years critical care, emergency or trauma experience, with a minimum of 4 years recent experience or knowledge of healthcare regulations including, TJC, Title XXII and other regulatory standards
Demonstrated progressive computer and presentation skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
Performance improvement and quality management experience are a plus
High-level clinical problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a must
