Under general supervision, explores and recommends measurement strategies, integrates data from multiple sources, develops reports and other information tools for use in affecting changes in provider behavior and measures the effectiveness of Quality Improvement initiatives from a cost as well as quality perspective. Serves as source of expertise on measurement techniques, including improvement statistics. Leads the development and testing of methods for assessment of quality improvement. Ensures collaborative participation in the management of projects. Links data from different sources into data sets and designs, develops and maintains independent databases. Performs statistical analysis as needed. Develops the skills of assigned support staff. Serves as a liaison to assigned teams/departments, communicates data variance and other pertinent information to stakeholder.
1. Master's degree in computer science, or health care or business with strong technical computer/math knowledge or Bachelor's degree with additional equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Nursing or Quality Improvement experience/background strongly preferred in order to support clinical analysis and performance improvement initiatives.
3. Five years of increasingly more responsible experience in the health care industry with a minimum of two years database design/development management experience. Strong skills in using programs such as Excel/Access. Web base design & development experience strongly preferred.
