Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital - Knoxville, TN Kindred Healthcare has broken ground with Tennova Healthcare and the University of Tennessee Medical Center to open the soon to be brand new 57-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee and plans to open in 2021. Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital will provide care for patients across an 11-county region with impairments resulting from a traumatic medical situation, such as stroke, serious spinal cord and brain injury, neurologic illness, major multiple trauma, and orthopedic conditions with complex or profound impairments. Although the majority of patients are expected to be seniors, Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital will be equipped to also treat younger patients recovering from traumatic incidents. With more than 20 standalone inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs) across a dozen states, Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Services (KHRS) is a partner of choice for many major hospital systems in the creation and success of joint-venture operations that outperform in both clinical and financial outcomes. We bring proven rehabilitation management and services expertise that benefits our partners as well as the nearly 50,000 IRF patients we see each year who seek to recover and get home quickly from any of a number of conditions, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, neurological conditions, amputation and trauma. We are currently seeking a Director of Quality to join our leadership team. The Director of Quality Management (DQM) assumes responsibility and accountability for the hospital-wide Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement program. The DQM will assist the CEO/leadership and Medical Staff to establish priorities for Performance Improvement. He/she ensures that disciplines in the hospital work collaboratively to plan and implement Performance Improvement activities. The DQM will focus on measuring, analyzing and trending information in order to improve outcomes. He/she will assure ongoing monitoring of performance to ensure that improvements are sustained. The DQM will direct and assist in compliance with federal and state regulations and accreditation standards Registered Nurse with current state licensure highly preferred. Certification preferred by APIC (American Practitioners of Infection Control), and NAHCQ (National Association of Health Care Quality). BSN or BS/BA required. Two years of experience in an acute hospital or rehabilitation setting required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support/CPR Card. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate PI activities, effective oral and written communication skills and proficiency in basic computer skills required. Working knowledge of staff development and the educational process, quality improvement, infection control/employee healthy, and safety/risk management standards. * Effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.
