Work Hours/Shift:

•           Full Time 

You Will Be Responsible For:   
 
  • Supports the administration of the radiation safety program, including compliance with all regulating and certifying agencies, training of staff and supervision of source ordering, handling, waste removal and disposal.
  • Actively participates in developing new programs and technologies such as information management, treatment planning and new modalities.
  • Performs weekly chart reviews and other checks of treatment plans.
  • Performs dosimetric calculations for external beam, brachytherapy and radiopharma-ceutical therapy.
  • Provides medical physics consultation to physicians, staff and patients as needed.
  • Participates in the quality assurance of linear accelerators, simulators, HDR units and any other radiation therapy treatment device.
 
 
 
Qualifications
What Will You Need:        
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of five years of clinical radiation therapy physicsâ™ experience
 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Current active State of Florida licensure in Therapeutic Medical Physics
  • Current certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Therapeutic Medical Physics
 
Job Summary:

Participates in the quality care of our patients by providing medical physics services at or above the State of Florida and federal requirements as well as meeting any national standards of care in radiation oncology. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful of all.
