| Assists with maintaining the preventive maintenance program(s) to ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility's electrical system. |
| Follows hospital infection control policies. |
| Performs the installation and servicing of electrical equipment. |
| Replaces, installs, repairs and tests electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required. |
| Maintains an inventory of parts and supplies to maximize the operational readiness of the facility's electrical system with due respect to the limitations of cost regulations and relative priorities. |
| Work sites are left clean and tools are returned to the maintenance shop. |
| Ability to diagnose system malfunctions on electrical equipment; repairs or replaces defective parts as necessary. |
| Maintains electrical distribution system though out the facility on local and emergency power. |
| Performs monthly resting of ATS's and emergency generators. |
| Completes documentation for inspections, safety checks, PM'S and repairs. |
| Maintains compliance with Joint Commission, federal, state and local standards and regulations. |
| Demonstrates knowledge and is able to identify each patient's age specific needs to promote a safe environment needed by the patient group. |
| Cooperates with supervisors, department heads and works well with staff. |
| Complies with all building safety codes. |
| Reviews plans for new building projects. Work with outside contactors to ensure new equipment and systems are installed to specifications and electrical codes. |
| Ability to be organized and flexible in stressful and emergency situations. |
| Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash). |
| Ability to do work on his/her own with only normal supervision. |
