Assists with maintaining the preventive maintenance program(s) to ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility's electrical system. |
Follows hospital infection control policies. |
Performs the installation and servicing of electrical equipment. |
Replaces, installs, repairs and tests electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required. |
Maintains an inventory of parts and supplies to maximize the operational readiness of the facility's electrical system with due respect to the limitations of cost regulations and relative priorities. |
Work sites are left clean and tools are returned to the maintenance shop. |
Ability to diagnose system malfunctions on electrical equipment; repairs or replaces defective parts as necessary. |
Maintains electrical distribution system though out the facility on local and emergency power. |
Performs monthly resting of ATS's and emergency generators. |
Completes documentation for inspections, safety checks, PM'S and repairs. |
Maintains compliance with Joint Commission, federal, state and local standards and regulations. |
Demonstrates knowledge and is able to identify each patient's age specific needs to promote a safe environment needed by the patient group. |
Cooperates with supervisors, department heads and works well with staff. |
Complies with all building safety codes. |
Reviews plans for new building projects. Work with outside contactors to ensure new equipment and systems are installed to specifications and electrical codes. |
Ability to be organized and flexible in stressful and emergency situations. |
Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash). |
Ability to do work on his/her own with only normal supervision. |
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment. |
