Columbia is the geographic center of South Carolina, with easy access to mountains (two hours west) and nationally recognized beach resorts (two hours east). Columbia boasts a nationally acclaimed library system, highly rated schools, and many outstanding golf courses. Big time college sports abound with two major schools - the University of South Carolina, Columbia, in the Southeastern Conference and Clemson University, Clemson, Atlantic Coast Conference (two hours away). This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until June 30, 2021. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be 22 January 2021, with subsequent cut-off dates every Monday. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive holistic care using the nursing process in the coordination and management of patients with acute and chronic wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and other states of impaired skin integrity. Provides recommendations of treatment to the physicians/practitioners related to wound management. Provides direct patient care, patient and staff education, quality improvement activities, research, and administrative duties with a commitment to evidence-based care. This care may be provided to inpatients, outpatients, and CLC residents. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
