Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Duties: - Directs and manages the organization's risk management program - Develops processes to assure that all required risk management information is procured, monitored, analyzed, and reported - Educates staff regarding the process and concepts of clinical and institutional disclosure, protected peer review, and tort claims processes - Coordinates the Protected Peer Review process, working with the Chief of Staff - Initiates and/or participates in Protected Peer Reviews to determine the appropriateness and quality of care - Follows-up on actions and outcome measures from the Protected Peer Review process, ensuring documentation of processes per the Peer Review directive - Coordinates and directs Tort Claim information system activities - Assists in medical center activities, preparations for and coordination of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with VHA and accrediting agency requirements
