The Critical Care Trauma Coordinators primary duty is to lead and facilitate the clinical quality improvement team focused on implementation of evidence based medicine, injury management, complication and readmission reduction, and access and coordination of patient care.
The Trauma Coordinator leads the development of annual improvement goals for the trauma assigned department and teams (process and outcome measures) that are in alignment with the organizations vision and strategic plan goals to provide high quality healthcare, advanced technology, and world class service to our patients.
This is a full time exempt role under Trauma Services. GW Hospital is a Trauma Level 1 Univeristy Hopsital.
Master's Degree in Health Care related field, such as MSN, MHA, MBA preferred
Active RN license
5 years of Acute Care experience required, min. 3 years in Critical Care settings.(ICU,ER,CVICU,CCU,Stepdown etc..)
Trauma experience highly preferred
Quality and Performance Improvement knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of licensure regulations, American College of Surgeons regulations, and the ACS Trauma Verification process is a plus
Certification in specialty (CPHQ) preferred
