As the Supervisory Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) Vet Center Director on the multidisciplinary team located at the community-based Vet Center you will provide veterans with community outreach, counseling, therapy, treatment and direct/ refer services to VA, community resources, and community education regarding the problems and needs of the veteran. You will supervise and provide consultation to those providing clinical services. As a Supervisory LPMHC (Vet Center Director), the your primary responsibility is to provide clinical and administrative leadership, management and supervision of all Vet Center staff and all other professional and nonprofessional staff assigned to work at the Vet Center, and to plan, develop, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate all treatment services of the Vet Center. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Observes workers' performance and demonstrates/ conducts work performance critiques. The Supervisory LPMHC Team Leader is responsible for the clinical supervision of a multidisciplinary staff in the development of treatment plans and the resultant therapy Personally supervises client treatment; individual, group, conjoint and family therapy, biofeedback, relaxation training and other therapeutic strategies Ensures that clinical staff on the team provides state-of-the-art treatment programs in the readjustment counseling of Veterans and their significant others Provides consultation to staff on the following: assessments, treatment plans, referrals and providing quality counseling and providing quality assurance of counseling conducted by staff Establishes, maintains and conducts outreach activities with Veterans, community and service organizations, business and industry, professionals and the public Provides direct counseling interventions involving serious and complicated problems frequently encountered by Veterans and their families or significant others Provides indirect services to target groups through advocacy work and negotiations with other service agencies Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, some evenings and weekends required.
