RN ED Full Time Nights Position Summary
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
THE RN ED FULL TIME NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Required: Bachelorâ��s degree (Nursing or related Health Care field acceptable) or equivalent combination of education and training. Preferred: Experience with quality improvement processes related to health care standards and practices.
LicensureRequired: Current state licensure required. Certificates Required: BLS. Preferred: ACLS preferred.
Required: At least 5 years recent experience in an acute care hospital setting required. Preferred: Critical care or emergency nursing experience.
Required: Team building, problem solving, critical thinking, coaching and mentoring skills. Understanding of systems thinking and business development. Strong interpersonal communication and change and conflict management skills. Preferred: Supervisory / Management skills training.
Required: Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
Required: Computer skills at least an intermediate level; working knowledge of MS Word and Excel; aware of current technology used in field. Maintains competency in Patient Access/Bed Management technology.
