Responsible for the leadership and management of the nursing services activities on a clinical unit in collaboration with the unit manager. The Emerging Leader in collaboration with the manager is responsible for all aspects of staff management, departmental management and for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer. Responsibilities include patient safety, quality improvement, and maintenance of regulatory requirements. As well as plans, supervises implements and evaluates the nursing care of each patient through the use of the nursing process. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and assists the Manager with daily operations of the department. Learning and experiencing operational functions.
