Pulmonary & Allergy Associates, part of Atlantic Medical Group, with offices in Summit, West Orange, and Cedar Knolls, is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant.
The Certified Medical Assistant I will be responsible for greeting and preparing for patients, managing patient flow, completing patient intake into EPIC system, and maintaining exam rooms including cleaning and keeping inventory/ordering supplies.
Administrative responsibilities will include managing phones and scheduling patients when needed, handling patient prescriptions and pre-authorization for diagnostic testing as well as directing patients in all phases of their experience with the practice.
High School Diploma required
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
* Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT or NHA required * Two years medical office experience preferred * Experience with an EMR system desired (preferably EPIC) * Strong computer skills and front-line customer service skills essential * Ability to travel to different practices if necessary * Able to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate practice hours
