As a crucial member of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service, a Histopathology Technician possesses a basic knowledge of human anatomy and a general knowledge of biological specimens. The Histopathology Technician produces high-quality slides by embedding, cutting and staining tissue for diagnostic interpretation by a pathologist. The Histopathology Technician carries out the day-to-day operations of the Histology laboratory. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
